Thanked: 480Vermio Hone? Any experiences?
Spotted this on the bay, and had never heard of it.
A quick check on the forum didnt show anything. Have you guys heard of or tried one of these yet? If there is already a thread about them, could you direct me?
Thanks!

Thanked: 1184Be the first to review this item :<0)
I would ask Wolfpack or check that website Stone and Blade ( or whatever it is, sorry) Looks like a new thing to me judging by the ad and label.
My personal observation/judgement would be it's hard as heck and can be lapped to a polished finish ? Pffff I'll pass. The beveled edges looks wonky,,,why? JMHO and it maybe the deal of the year. Hope this thread tells more.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Vermio Hone? Any experiences?
The Vermio is a very good and effective razor finisher, i always can create some very good edges. I find the edges of the Vermio very well balanced between sharpness and smoothness, thats what it makes that hone very interesting....
Its a newly quarried stone from Greece, and i love it that it was found/discovered.
Keith did a Video on it, probably he will chime in here too...Caleb also reviewed it....

Thanked: 77I've heard nothing but good things about it the only thing that makes me shy away is that I have also heard that it lapse funny something about some spots polishing more than other. ??? Hopefully someone else will come along to either correct me or give more insight. Either way they're not really expensive hone so they're definitely worth looking into.

Thanked: 38Our very own Vasilis is in some way related to this stone. I don't think he actually mines them but he knows the people who do. Another member, FAL has one and told me he liked it. I think I have one coming to me in the mail. Hopefully to be delivered soon.

Thanked: 59I've got one one that I purchased recently. The Vermio. I really like it, seems to put a very nice edge on any razor I put to it. Several times faster than my dark blue thuri's or DB Escher too. I bought the ILR at the same time but am still working with it. I don't think it is going to be any good though. I've been doing the unthinkable and mixing and matching slurry/nagura's with different stones. Haven't put any data together yet but seems promising...
