Following the citation (no source?), I would guess that it might be an "orange" stone as mentioned. That might explain its resemblance to the classic Hindostan, but with the blurred striations. Sure, I'm going with this now. Are there other examples of the "orange" stone? Do compare it to a verified white "Hindostan" if you can.

Hey Sebastian,
Sorry about the delay, I was hoping for a sunny day to take pictures the weather here has been dark and grey. Doesn't look like it's going to happen so I've taken the pictures best I can indoors.
