    Default Yellow Nagura

When Iwasaki-san discusses the removal of chips from a razor's edge he recommends the use of a yellow nagura.
Does anyone know what that is?

Max had one listed on his site as a yellow mikawa nagura botan, coarser than the white. This is a now out-of-stock item so I hope the link is OK. Mods feel free to remove if necessary

I think that one is a certain quality Botan Nagura.

I ordered a yellow pulp nagura from Amazon:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Approximate grit size seems OK for removal of small chips.

It is sold by Nagura Stones, they call themselves a group of sharpening enthusiasts from Mango FL. Anyone know these guys?

Don't know your source mate, but I have a similar nagura from fleebay, if i remeber right they are ment be about a 600 grit but breakdown easily, I use it on my 1k Nani SS to help speed up bevel setting, then on the Norton 4K also to start polishing.
Have not used on higher grits or my Jnats as I just use water or slurry with the DMT on them
    Saved,
    to shave another day.

Received it last week and have experimented with it. One or 2 roundtrips and it leaves a generous amount of slurry on my Oozuki mizu asagi. Chips barely visible to the naked eye are honed out in about 120 roundtrips. I like this nagura.
