Default Never seen anything like this before??

I recently got this sharpening stone in a lot and I finally started playing with it today. it's 11in ×1 (5/8)x (5/8). I thought it was an artificial stone at first but now I know it's not. It shimmers like glitter and looks like The Rock's you find on the side of the train tracks. Any ideas on what it might be??? I also highly doubt it's a finisher.

Its mostly a Scythe stone in my point of view. Probably something like the Norway Ragstone. Should be very coarse...i have some of those, as you mention they have a silver glittering look

Thank You!!! Do the norway ragstones happen to be as hard as soft Arkansas?

Sorry probably i wrote it wrong, i mentioned probably comparable to a Norway Ragstone which in the End is an Eidsborg Stone...

I have some of those comparable you showed, not of the Norway stone...

Here is a picture of one of the Norway Ragstones from a UK Museum Page

I have no idea what that stone is, but if I had one I never would let it get anywhere near my scythes!
