Thanked: 169There is a hone that looks like that you can find for sale in NY from time to time. Always in a pile of other ancient stuff. I have a few at this point.

Mine does polish out N8K and C12K scratches.

Thanked: 169I think where it really shines is as the bridge to something especially fine be it from synths or a very average coticule move to this and then to whatever. You can shave off of it just as well though.

I would say mine is higher than 10K, I use it after my Naniwa SS 10K. And it gives a fines edge.
I actually dont know how well mine polish scratches from mine Nss10K, cuz I havent looked at the edge with magnifyer... have one in the mail though so Ill have an idea when I can play with that!
But 15-20 laps is what I usually do on it and it gives a smooth shave!Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum viditur
