Thanked: 41Fallkniven CC4
I was wondering about this new product from Fallkniven, the CC4. No, not the DC4 (which was already discussed on this forum).
According to the manufacturer, the white side is at 0.1 micron and dark grey side is at 1 micron. That sound about right for straight razor touch-ups or the last steps in a progression.
Its biggest downside is its small size (32 x 100 mm = approx 1.25 x 4 inches). Its biggest upside is the low cost (I've seen it around 30 USD)
What do you guys think? Anybody tried it?

Hi mate
I recently got one of these to touch up my knives.
I just used the white side to touch up my Thiers Issard let dandy .
I got a nice crisp edge off it .
I will try it out on tomorrow's shave.
But initial results look promising
Cheers Paul

Thanked: 4811 micron black side, about 15K hone IIRC. 0.1 micron which is about as fine as it gets...if it doesn't make an edge uncomfortably harsh it should be a nice little stone. I think it would be much nicer in a 50 x 125 mm (or even 175) profile, but that's my preference.
