I think that a combination of TOS and WOA like yours is a good setup, and could work well. You could go all Scotch and throw in a Dalmore Blue for sharpening! These are all rarer than usual stones and not many have them.

I've been experimenting a lot with one stone honing, inspired by Glen as well as old barbers. With a Coticule it's a straight forward thing. They can even set the bevel relatively fast.

With thuris I usually set the bevel first on Naniwa 1K.

Some thuris are very fast and do the job as easy as a complete Naniwa progression. Others are slower, but has better feedback, like honing on butter.

I think I had 15 different thuris over the years, and 3 labeled eschers. But the last aren't the best. I have a very green bout, that's amazing and a two toned without label, that's really good.

I find the razor shaves a bit better and smooth, using only one hone. Especially using coticules.

I have a fine scotch collection, but not the WOA.

I really want one so bad. HAD. [emoji4]

    the Green Thuri Bout.

From left the two tuned thuri, then Escher and the green bout.

    Same from the side...

And here I was thinking that was just my imagination. I'm prone to agree, when I do a 1 stone hone (or an all natural progression) the razor just feels nicer. My synthetics tend to get a bit dusty. Even the 1K.
