Hello gentleman, as the title states I am in need of a possible stone identification please? This stone is very fine. It left a nice keen edge. It is small and it came with a razor which was junk so I just took the stone for $10. In person the color looks blue Grey but don't quote me I have no idea. Thank you

Surface the way I found it

Thanked: 3215Probably a Thüringen, lap it flat and bevel the corners, past the chips. If it is it will improve an 8k edge.
Nice find.

I always wanted to find one in the wild like that. Great score it looks like one to me to with those white looking scraches. Never found anything like that in the South Bay, but that brings my hopes up. Good luck with it.

Update! The Thuri did improve the 8k edge...Thanks everyone. This one was a true treasure hunt, the guy had 15 boxes or so with lids open full of misc stuff, it was found way in the back of one of them. Golden ticket yessssss

Excellent score for just $10. I'm sure you will be smiling every time you use that lovely Thuringian.
