    Default hone ident help please

picked up these two hones at an antique/flea market over the weekend.
would appreciate any identification if possible.

im assuming coticle here but it has some coloration/pattern within it. smoother to the touch than the 'select' i have. am i also right to assume that the bottom is slate, not BBW. i think - not sure - but it appears to say 'extra choice' something stamped on the surface.

this is light purple in color with very (very) small silver sparkles all throughout. feels pretty darn smooth.

First one is definitely a coticule. Give it a good lap until flat, and then have some fun with it. As for the other, can't say for sure. Give it a lap as well, then post some pics with water and slurry. Should help some of the stone guys identify it.

Indeed, the first is a coticule, likely backed by a blue stone (slate backing is a relatively new thing).

The second one, possibly another blue stone?
