Thanked: 39S.R. Droescher Coticule
Does any one have any experience with S.R. Droescher coticules? Particularly those marked XX? I am wondering what the performance was like and whether anyone knows that the XX signifies.
Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanked: 4830Sevrin R Droescher was an importer of very fine items. I suspect but have zero back up, XX is likely extra extra fine. I did once have an Escher hone with his mark and it was as expected, all that. His razors and strops were the finest available, so I expect that the coti is also. I would not hesitate to buy any item with his mark on it if it were in good condition.

I agree, most things SR Droescher were rebranded top-of-the-line products. Be that strops, hones, razors. One of my favorite shavers is an SRD that I suspect came from Dubl Duck and was rebranded as SRD.
I haven't used one of the coticules, but I have to believe it's top notch. Please send pictures if you are able!Last edited by Butzy; 01-18-2018 at 11:22 PM.

Thanked: 4830That little beauty has seen little to no use. I hope you whisper quietly to her and get her to reveal the secret to the perfect coti finish.
