I posted about this before, didn't get any sold info, as slates are everywhere. I snapped some new photos. The big thing that I think would be a good identifier is the little holes throughout it. I've looked into the holes and can see cream colored material. Measurements are 6 6/8 X 2 6/8 X 1/2. It finishes better than any of my other stones.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Raise a nice bit of slurry on the stone and post a picture. Post if its easy to raise a slurry or hard. It could be a LaLune.

I shall call him George and George shall be his name.
Sorry couldn't resist. Had a similar looking slate no holes though that performed as good as a thuri and after talking with the experts got unknown slate.

How about "Hard Rock" or "Rock of Ages"?

Does it have a metallic shining ? Are those black spots more like holes or are they kind of inclusions?

Special Stone / La Lune if it would be one of the blue metallic ones would show pock narbs or holes....

Another Idea could be a Thuringian, check the inclusions on this one here:

I thank you guys. La Lune it is. It has the metallic flecks, and they are definitely holes.
