Thread: what hone is this ?

Yeh well it's not a tam that's for sure. Looks like a nice fine stone other than that still really can't tell much about it ,in some pics it looks brownish and others its greenish lap it and see how hard it is ,what colour the slurry is does it have a smell ,other than oil that is.You just need a good sized square flat tile and some fine grit wet and dry sand paper ,draw a grid on it with pencil and wet it up and away you go keep sanding with the wet paper until all the pencil grid is gone and she should be pretty flat and clean and you will find out how hard it is and what the slurry looks like. Sadly we may still not be able to tell you what it is but she will be ready to use . Cheers.
