Beautiful shave. Close and comfortable. No aftershave burn.

Glad you are enjoying it. It is a lovely finisher that gave thuringian like edges, but the best I could come up with was a unknown slate in finding out what it was . I found it in a group of Barber hones and my best coticule. It really is a dense stone and I thought maybe a La lune, but I don't know.

    Enjoy.

I saw a La Lune on the bay the other day. I was thinking it looked quite similar. There is a "Schwanstien?" for sale on the forums that looks similar as well. I don't know enough to make an educated guess. I do know I like the results of both. It's a step up from my Coticule hones, I think.

Yes it was as a step up from my coticules too and felt about equal with my other Thuringian stones.

Are your thuringens as hard? About the same speed?
    Thanks

I felt that stone was a touch harder than my B/G thuri or maybe denser is the word. More difficult to slurry and the slurry color was more grey.

I am not reading that as a lune or a special stone at all
