    I think that the mico-tome and scalpels maybe since the tissue is soft and non abrasive. I have the 30k and it is really a wonder to behold. Shapton spent a fortune to design, develop and market that stone. It is fast cutting but loads with swarf and needs to be lapped pretty often but depending on the steel being used it is amazing. The stone to me is too fine, and the edge for most work can be at risk of crumbling, again depending on the steel being used. For my beard and skin I feel that the edge is off the stone is too sharp. Toning down the edge is an option.

    Please don't waste time or money on the ILR. The nani 12k is hard to beat in my experience.
