    Yeah, slates are frustrating in general. You can have 20 black slabs that look broadly similar, 10 will just be ok, 4 will be doorstops, 4 will be meh, and 2 will be stunning. It's what I point to when ppl moan about the price of labelled thuris. Knowing it will be stunning 100%

    It reminds me of my la lune. On water it feels pebble like. Use oil tho and it’s right up there with my thuri’s. Any ideas?

    The third photo does remind me of my La Lune...very sparkly surface to the stone when wet....superb finishing stone IMO...not to many laps and you're good to go.

    Does yours have the pinholes?

    Mine does and is much darker.
