Thanked: 169Another interesting unknown
Unknown to me anyway. Brand new. Was beat to hell when it arrived and brutal to lap. Reeks of wet plants and mud when wet/slurried. Has little su-like holes here and there but I don't take it to mean anything as lots of things have features like that. Don't have much to add as of yet other than it is fine and the razor I took across it just to see how it felt under the blade didn't show any stray gouges or deep scratches of note. It seems quite fine actually despite looking chaotic. Need to have a few goes.

Thanked: 315Wet plants and mud smell, Hmm. Maybe someone on here will recognize it. What do you mean su-like holes?
Do you know the finest grit edge it will improve or degrade yet?

Thanked: 169Edge shaves very well from this thing whatever it is. It also seems relatively forgiving as well which is nice.

Thanked: 169It didn't bog down at all atg, the edge shows no signs of crumbling under the loupe after the shave so it is stable. Still treetopping just as well. It's interesting. I think it has more to give actually.
