Unknown hone - flame pattern
Hi everyone,
I just came accross an interesting long, thin and fine hone, from unknown origine, and wondered if any of you had a similar, or witnessed one. And if so I'd be really pleased to learn about it. :-)

Well, I don't think of a coticule, the hone is reddish with some green strips on it. It's a little shiny on sunlight.
The slurry is yellowish. It was first sold as a sud-ouest, but it doesn't look like the ones I owned before.
I'd say about 7-8K in grit, the two sides are similar

Thanked: 90based on how thin I would suspect it was a paddle hone at one time and it looks like it may be a Schwedenstein or a Pierre Du Sud Ouest. Some Schwedenstein tend toward the brown/red. Not sure though. The brown slurry is probably why they thought it was a sud-ouest.

I've seen those before but can't for the life of me remember what they were called. All of the ones I've seen on here have been thin. It might be the way the rock spits as I can't recall ever seeing a thick one.
Doorsch, or Hatzicho might know.
Found an older thread And I swear down it's the same lump of rock!
