    Default Landed another nice coti

Nice coti, I believe it is a Dressante. Had some Ballistol I picked up not to long ago so I honed my puma using ballistol on this coti. Was a very very smooth shave. The stone can come out of the stand and has a nice BBW (tested it out when honing the puma). I believe I have finally satisfied my HAD as long as I don't see any other special coticules.

Picked up this coti from the SRP member Viergedefer, great guy.

That's quite a paddle! What are the approximate dimensions of the stone?

Viergedefer sure has some interesting coticules. Here's one I picked up from him, never seen another like it.

Thanks! It is 6"x 1.5" x 1". Sadly the yellow coti part is averaging 8mm deep or so with the smallest part being 5.5-6mm or so.
The slot in the paddle is about 9mm deep and the coti fits nice and snug. Using the yellow as only finisher with ballistol maybe water (only tested finish with ballistol).
Current edge I have on it I used some slurry then no slurry on the BBW side. Then I followed with ballistol to finish it with no slurry on yellow side for extremely smooth shave.

Very nice looking stone and paddle there. That's plenty of thickness on the yellow side to last a long time, especially if you are just using it for razors. Gotta love a real nice coti edge. Congrats and enjoy!
