    Some of those Carborundums are bevel setters & some are finishers.

    118 works as a bevel setter. Don't know about the 118S.

    I shaved off that 118s .....ouch ! ...but that what I expected...just had to try.

    Like shaving off a 1 K eh ? If you haven't done that try it. I did and my 1 k work got much better after I did it. I have a few Carbs and they are all different. I have a couple Frictionites too and would compare them to the carbs more than I would a regular barber hone. And by regular I mean the really smooth feeling 2 sided hone.Friciionite is smooth but dangerously fast. JMHO
