Just a wild speculated guess, does the rubbing stone have an in-between layer that looks more orange like? My guess if it does it looks a lot like a La Grise I have

Thanked: 563It’s hard to tell since the transition from coticule to BBW isn’t as clear in the rubbing stone as it is in the big stone. This photo is a pretty accurate version of what I see when I look at the slurry stone.
