No wonder that La Lorraine is the same as La rouge de Salm.
At the geographical point of view, La Lorraine was a former french province situated north-east of France and extending in south of what is now Belgium. It is just on the foot of the Ardenne where you find Vielsalm and the river Salm.
NB Ardenne is a geological region, The Ardennes is a french department (administrative division, like a county)

Thanks for the clarification as to Ardenne/Ardennes. I had that figured out once, but it can be about as confusing as a Lorraine stone that's not from la Lorraine (now "Grand Est"). Way, toning leash 'ey pall mall duh too.
