    I have one of the supers on the plastic right now, should i wait for it to wear out and than get a chosera or should i pony up the money now.

    I guess that all depends on your HAD and how much honing you do. It may take forever to wear out your 1K. I honed and lapped like a fiend on my Norton 1/4 combo for years and I could still hone on it.
