Just received this new (to me anyway) 1000 grit hone. I have been using a DMT 1000 to set bevels and thought I’d try a water stone to see how the scratch patterns differ. The price was reasonable (about $50 CDN), so the investment did not seem outrageous.

Has any one had any experience with these splash-and-go hones?
