    Greetings, this one kind of has me stumped. I don’t remember but I think I picked this up at an estate sale in El Paso years ago.

    I think someone may have used honing oil on it and that is the dark spot in the middle. I will try and flatten the other side to see if it runs through. It’s slurry is milky white.

    It is real light and porous, more so than a coticule, and not as dense. This thing really soaks up water. Reminds me of water on beach sand.

    I haven’t put a razor on it yet but I did finish a knife. No hanging hair test but I could shave hair with that knife and it finished better than my fine Spyderco stone.

    Wow! That's a really cool find. It looks to me to be a found stone and not a store bought one. It would be very interesting to know what it is.
