    Default Storing in the Garage

The title says it all. I have a bit of shelf space left in my garage. I'm in Alberta, the air is generally dry, but it is winter and the garage is not heated

So, is it going to mess my stones?

If you garage is going to be reaching sub zero temperatures I would avoid storing your stones there as they may crack.

Yup, water content will split rock. Now if you hones are 100% dry they will be freeze thaw stable. Water expands quite a bit when it freezes. If all you have is garage space an incandescent light bulb even at 20 watts can keep a fairly large cabinet from freezing in your garage, even in Alberta.
