Yet Another Black Ark Thread: My big black stone...
Showing off my Christmas gift...
Someone posted awhile back about smaller vendors selling stones on Amazon at reduced prices from Dan's website. I was able to add this stone to my wishlist, which my wife than purchased for me...
It's over 12 inches long by 3 inches by 1/2 inch... talk about luxury! Extremely flat right out of the box. Spent some time breaking it in with the kitchen knives, and then moved on to touch up a couple of razors that were starting to tug.
I certainly don't need a stone this big, but I will say it's very nice to work with and gives excellent edges!

Wow, Arkies are back in a big way lately, and that one is a beauty at over a foot long! That really ramps up my HAD-I NEED a foot-long arkie!
There are many roads to sharp.
