You can’t advertise a sale here, and you have been here long enough to know it

Following up on the ongoing Zulu Grey issue, I got an e-mail from PayPal yesterday that they are refunding my money, as their attempts to contact SilverGate Design went unanswered.

"Because we were unable to obtain additional information from Silvergate Design CC. regarding your claim, this case has been resolved in your favor and you have received a refund of $107.13 USD. If you paid with a credit card, the money is refunded to your credit card. Please note that it can take up to 30 days for the refund to appear on your card statement."

Thankfully, I am making a deal with TC on the Zulu he sent me a couple months ago to play with, so I'm good. You guys who are still waiting, while I applaud your faith in your fellow man, I'm pretty sure hell will freeze over before any of you actually gets a hone from him. Just my 2 cents.

It took me close to 6 months to get my order but he ended up throwing in a 1”x6” hone with the order.
The Zulu is a good hone but I would never do this again.

I just received my refund through PayPal for the Zulu Grey. I’m glad to have the money back, but I’m very disappointed to have been put in this position, and that someone with such a seemingly good product is tanking their business because of their own inaction. I definitely would have preferred to have received the stone! I just hope Michael gets his act together sooner than later.

I just got an email from PayPal saying they were unable to contact seller, refund issued.
It’s a shame, as I would rather of had the stone.

Check with Howard Schechter at the Perfect Edge in Massachusetts. He was selling them a couple years ago. It’s where I got mine. When I visited him then he had a significant supply of them. He was distributing for Michael then.

A little advice: Don't impede an 80,000 lbs. 18 wheeler tanker carrying hazardous chemicals.

Classic Edge also sells them. I can't speak for anyone else, but for me it wasn't that I was dying to have a Zulu Grey. I was curious, but I only took the plunge because of the 50% off sale.

Same for me. I was curious, and at half price for a bench stone, why not?
    From a business perspective.
With the early reviews being all over the place from the next best thing to meh. I don’t think the Zulu Gray stood a fair chance. Too many sure things to compete with it.
The demand for a questionable preforming stone in such a small niche market was probably so small there is no way to make the numbers work. Especially with the half off sale. Unless you’re willing to work for $2 a day.
The equipment, and time to excavate, and transform the extremely hard raw bulk material in to a quality stone is a formula that would require much larger numbers than this market provides.
In all honesty. If it were my time, money, and health I was throwing into the mix. I would have bailed out of this venture too, but I would certainly have handled my exit differently.
