I decided to step away from the Chosera 1k and move to the Suehiro Debado 1k.

The stone received a few coats of Urushi lacquer and last night i gave it a test run, setting the bevel on two Solingen razors.

Strange at first because i've had years on the green brick but i soon came around. The stone is very hard and takes some effort to lap.
The feedback is excellent and i did not want to stop honing on it.
This stone will not be constantly lapped like my old 1k stones but instead it will be cleaned to remove swarf..
