    Wow, very impressive work with all the boxes! As my woodworking skills are kind of rudimentary (plus I don't have a router), any box I would build would be pretty basic. In any case, on 1 this size, I think a stand might be more practical anyway.

    Oh, and yes, I'm wondering what firing novaculite is too?

    A stand is great if you have only one stone, always set up. It takes up more space when the stone is not in use. Most of the universal stands that I have seen are nasty!

    So this explains why so many translucent arks especially show those conchoidal fractures under the surface and on any unfinished area. I wish I remembered more of my college geology elective!
