Few Thuri are black in color. My opinion would be a nice slate. is it finished smooth on both sides?

It has only one working face, on which the color is not really true black but it leans towards a grayish black+blue+green tint. The rest of the faces are pure black.
I also have three slates (advertised as 8k, 12k and 15k ) and the texture, feeling, color, gravity and abrasion properties are nothing like the black one. It is much smoother, almost oily.

Well, this is it. Not a slate, definitely, not a cnat (those are closer to a slate), I'll take the thuri :

Well in each case it is a black slate. Since most of the slates in the world are black, it could have a lot of origins. May also be a thuri. But no one can say for sure.
Important is that it is a good razor finisher.
