yes looks like a thuri , these are mine for comparison (dark blue and brown)
...If you want to know for sure , ask Peter (Hatzicho) , he's a member and an authority what thuris is concerned
I was tryin' to figure out which is worse,ignorance or apathy...Then I realized I don't know and I don't care...

Thanked: 1It has only one working face, on which the color is not really true black but it leans towards a grayish black+blue+green tint. The rest of the faces are pure black.
I also have three slates (advertised as 8k, 12k and 15k) and the texture, feeling, color, gravity and abrasion properties are nothing like the black one. It is much smoother, almost oily.

Well in each case it is a black slate. Since most of the slates in the world are black, it could have a lot of origins. May also be a thuri. But no one can say for sure.
Important is that it is a good razor finisher.
