I don't remember if I said already, but in addition to how the stone looks, using a loupe i was able to make out just enough of the sticker to see that it matches the side sticker found on the Frictionites that instructs which side to start on and which side to finish on.
Under magnification I still found no remnants of the branding stamps, but I'm still pretty solidly convinced there
