ebay score! Finally an Escher!
Snagged this bad boy on ebay for a great price. Cleaned up nice, protected what is left of the label, lapped and ready to roll. Can't wait to finally try one of these out! Guessing it is a dark blue???

looks greenish on my screen. Here is my Dark Blue for comparison...

Now that you mentioned it, I looked at some pictures and this does look far too light to be a dark blue...

Thanked: 104I love looking at all of the hone pics but man you guys know your stuff. I havent done the research into hones, and you guys know every darned thing. Again, SRP is a regular storehouse of knowledge.

I admit in this picture it is dark. But not as dark as mine. Give it a try is all you can do. Congrats on the rock!

Your stone looks to be in great shape. Just bought another like yours on the Bay and awaiting its arrival. What did you use to protect the label? With what did you lap your stone? Mine has a small chip on one edge, not sure what to do about that. I will post pictures when I get it. Who knew hones would be another rabbit hole!

Beautiful stone-Please share your results. I predict that you are going to love an Escher edge, as most of us do. You can't beat 'em for smooth!
There are many roads to sharp.
