Can you use them dry? I've had no luck with mine (using lather). This thread got me interested again so I tried it dry. Very hopeful. Edge seemed very smooth but maybe not as keen as I'm used to. Any tips?

I've had the best luck with just a dab the dollar shave clubs shaving milk,I believe that's what they call it, just a dab, and that's given me the best results. And just as an aside, that shaving milk is like teflon for your face, it's the best stuff I've used and it's somewhat clear so if you have a beard, you can see through it for nice straight lines. It's not expensive and I liked it so much I bought six tubes. I was using mama bears soap and like this better. JMHO
