Thread: Lillicraps DE uranium glass hone

Newly acquired "cool factor" DE razor blade hone dated from 1930 to 1942. Invented by Joseph Richard Lillicrap of Lancaster England.
Uranium glass also called Vaseline glass really DOES contain 2% Uranium Dioxide but has been proven safe. glowing under UV light.
As the early DE blades blunted quickly, various gadgets claimed to resharpen and extend the life of the blades. Lillicrap's Hone was a simple and effective solution to this problem.
