Hoard Bench Kiita #2
Gentlemen, I have severe pain in my lower back, right around the wallet region, but I’m not at all unhappy. This is an Alex Gilmore stone, hoard kiita #2, sold in 2016. I had a chance to buy it from a friend of mine, and it is a truly fine and uncommon stone especially these days. It’s an old rock Nakayama kiita with hand scraped sides and ends, not super hard (about 5+) but super fine, about 5+++. It’s huge, 210 x 82 x 33mm, and smooth as frozen velvet. I’m happy, these yellow stones are rare even in Japan these days.

Nice Steve. I haven't made the leap down the jnat rabbit hole so far. I am having a good life lived vicariously through you though. Enjoy it for me.

As if Steve replaces stones. Ha. They just find new jobs, like door stops.

Thanked: 52Steve:
I wouldn't want you to get carpel tunnel trying to hold that stone while honing so you better send that one to me.
