Thanked: 5Some coticule stones to identify
Hi,
I come back to you again with a new find hoping that you can help me identify the characteristics or the name (La dressante, la verte ...) of some coticule stones that I have just purchased.
I consulted the site (http://www.coticule.be/rep1.html) but I admit that I am a little lost with all the variety available.
1) This one is very abrasive.
2) This one is slow
3) This one is slow
4) This one is abrasive
5) Old piece of coticule glued on wood

I'm no help but I do like the stones. It looks like at least one of those is a natural combination.???

That third one looks like some of the "verte" coticules that were being sold around 10 years ago. The fourth one reminds me of an old coticule, allegedly from a French source, that is a bit of a speed demon in that it can chow down steel very quickly.
