Thanked: 0Jnat Sellers?
Hi all,
I've been using an Iwasaki Kamisori, honed on synthetics for some time now.
I've been looking at getting a japanese natural stone and stumbled across this video:
He mentions using a Sho-honyama Nakayama stone. I am just a bit lost on finding a reputable seller of these stones, and it is hard to judge quality, especially through photos alone.
Let me know if you guys have any recommendations!
Thanks,
George

Welcome to SRP, George. We have a few members who are deep into Jnats. So someone should come along with an opinion.

Thanked: 5Hello,
The French site 1stone.fr sells this type of stone.
This is the same site that sells the new "La Lune" stones.
I am not a specialist in Japanese stones to know the price but from 200€ of purchase, they deliver for free anywhere in the world.
Best regards

I got mine from So Yamashita: Japan Tool
Great guy. Unfortunately he is very busy. If you manage to get in touch with him he will get you what you need. The stones on his site are for both knives and razors. The ones marked "razor" are usually sold by the time you see them advertised.Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr.
