Thanked: 1I took the edge to a 12000 Slapton pro had some marks in from other grits but was nice a shiny and pretty polished.
The scratch pattern seem less than my tams and it also dosn't smell like my tam which has a very particular smell to it. But then the more I smell the more it does.. who'd know I'd be smelling stones lol..
Any ideas guys any particular photos? I'll prep a razor to 12000 kil the edge and then get it back with this stone and have with it or try to anyway.
Thanks in advance for any input.

I have a hard time thinking that you are smelling the stone itself.
Maybe a residual lubricant?
