Info on ANCR Stones
Guys,
I recently bought some Escher from a Guy in Germany, he sent me the stone and in the box I found this ANCR stone as well, I lapped it, and I found it very good.
It gives a very fine edge,
Anyone has some info on this?

Have no information off the top of my head and found nothing so far. It looks like a slate. How big is it? You said it was in the box with the Escher.
That makes it sound like a slurry stone.Last edited by PaulFLUS; 09-13-2024 at 08:54 PM.

It is like a Barber delight size, just a bit thicker. Very very hard.
It is the one with the water drop on it.

Well, that's a little large to be an intentional slurry stone but that doesn't mean that someone wasn't using it as one. I use a small soft Ark for one which was not it's intended use.
lt's a natural stone though right? I don't think you said.Iron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. PR 27:17
