It's not an Escher., they had those labels that clearly stated their brand name on it. Might be very similar though. I haven't tried an actual Escher, but I got a boxed Thuringian like that and it's a fine hone (bit small though).

Thanked: 4I am glad for you SmooveRN! Just be careful you don't get HAD like I have. I think it may be too late. They are great stones just a little small for me. I touched up one of my razors with it and after about 15 laps the edge was greatly improved.
