    Default Fuchs hones

I bought three of these on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...TODAY.m238.lVI

    Has anyone heard of those?

They arrived today. The label says it is a hone for razors, fine instuments etc and that you should use it with a rubbing stone to raise a slurry but these came without. They are a very hard natural stone, a bit coarse finish. Rubbing 2 together does not produce a slurry so I presume they originally came with a little coticule or Thuringian stone to raise the slurry. I tried my practice razor on it without a slurry and it actually sharpened the razor! Not really shave ready but it would cut hairs on the back of my hand!

Never seen one before. If you are selling one on then I would be willing to help out

I'd like to try one if you were in the market to sell. Where would they fit in to the other stone ranges, maybe a blue belgian, or barber hone?

Sounds interesting, Kees. Keep us updated if you use them some more.
