    Default hard arkanasas stone

    this is a rough cut ark. nat. hone it is pure novoculite ,it is 6 3/4 inch. by3 1/4 by1/2 thick it was a bear to lap i just did one side , i polished one razor this morning and stroped it the shave was alright, but not great so i pasted it with diamond then cerium and wow, it realy smothed out . but for 15.00 i could not go wrong.

    Very nice primitive-cut, hard Arkansas Ronnie! Certainly looks like a translucent.
    How many laps did ya do on it, before ya tested it out? What type of flattening stone do you use?
    Im a unforgivably curious one, when it comes to the naturals...sorry.

    that was my problem this morning so i took another w b that needed a good tuch up and did 100, laps with water then stroped it and a real nice one pass shave , i laped it with 6 sheets of norton 150 grit w/d and still had a long ways to go so i got the dmt 325 after it and about 30 min. later it was done it fells like honing on soft air so smooth but it works.
