    Default lapping with DMT help

I just got a naniwa 12k and am preparing to use the DMT 325 and grid method to lap, should I also use some finer grit wetdry sand paper to finish the process?

yes you can but never go more then 1000 grit it is just not necessary.
Exam. 325 first then go to 600 next 1000 grits sandpaper s.
Please remember when you use dmt try use under constant running water .hope this helps.

that answers it all, thanks. I read the wiki a few times and many posts/threads and still was not sure about lapping and maintaing the nani cause its new to the scene, so thank very much. Medic484

    Hi,
I lap my belgians with a DMT "fine" , which I think is 1200 grit or so... (only because I don't have the coarser DMT hone). It works but it is a bit slow.
