Thanked: 30Sale on Norton kit, I can't afford it now, but maybe someone else can
While "window shopping" for stones, I came upon this sale, and thought I would pass it on. I hope the sale is still going on in a month or so, because I just don't have the money for this now, and I think I need a strop first? Sudden unemployment makes it rather difficult to get started.
anyway, here's the link to the sale on the norton waterstone kit I found with free shipping:
Water Stone Kit
I'm wondering if the antique blade I got is only in need of a good stropping since it does cut the hair off my thigh. ( I got so stoked about finally having a straight razor in my hand that I just HAD TO try cutting with it, and what do you know, I now have a huge bald spot on my thigh; no nicks though)
I'm really enjoying this site, even if I do have a razor I can't shave with right now, because I don't have the tools to make it shave ready, and I don't know anyone in Toronto that hones or even where I can find a strop in Toronto. I almost got a cheapy off ebay, but after reading what members had to say about ebay strops, I decided to save the 30 bucks and wait until I can afford one from perhaps a trusted member here.
