    Default unknown hone

my boss brought in a completely unmarked waterstone. its all black. two different grains. Being a complete newbie, is there an easy way to figure out the grade of the two sides? I've been using it to hone my kitchen knives with great success, and while I don't think I'll use it with my str8, I would love to know what I got handed to me.

so i brought my camera home and managed to get at least on picture that doesn't suck. this will prolly get relegated to cutlery detail, but on the off chance that its actually a nice barber hone, I would like to take care of it.

    the coarse side

the finer side. rough measure puts it approx 6x2x3/4ish
