    Default ID help please

this is supposedly found near a Civil War camp site in Virginia, was in a 'collector's' cache. I removed whatever coating was placed/developed on the stone on two faces. It abraded very easily on my DMT8XX, but that is true for most things. Absorbs water, and I'm thinking the dark spot on the partly lapped face could be old oil?

Did you open the full size images? The pics in the post are thumbnail links. If other angles are necessary, please advise.

I remember Pam once made a comment about an old arkansas mud stone, maybe this is it?
