My new Escher

HAD attack in November.
Here are the pics.



It has never been lapped and I did not dare to do it completely before I have taken a picture.
The text on the box says:

DIESER echte Wasserstein für Rasiermesser mit nebenstehender Schutzmarke
ist seit Jahrzehnten bewährt und seines milden Kornes wegen hochgeschätzt.
Den feinsten Messern gibt er eine haarfeine dauerhafte Schneide.

Man befeuchte den Stein mit etwas Wasser und reibt mit dem Aufreibersteinchen,
bis ein feiner Schlamm entsteht. In diesem zieht man das Messer flach aufgelegt
gegen die Scheide schräg über den Stein hinweg, wendet es über den Rücken u. s. fort.

Actually I thought its just plain gray, but Mac insisted on raising it onto the olympus of yellow greens,
so I washed it a little and out came this pic.



On top there is a Müller/Manufactum Thuringian and bottom some old strangely veined one.
With a bit of phantasy its really a bit more than just gray.
Its very soft and I can't wait to use it.
