    I have some hair at the same magnification below. The black hair is mine and the white ones come from the cat. You can see the twists in my hair

    Part of why it looks larger on a hand held microscope is how close your eye is to the objective and the view takes up a larger percentage of your viewing field.

    But I am hoping to get a better scope soon.

    If my family doesn't get the hint for Christmas, I may just go ahead and buy one afterward.

    Here is another pic with the hairs and the razor I am using to "process" the slurry on the hones. You can see some pitting on the edge which is why it is being sacrificed to process slurry.
