    Default Second coticule- wow

I've been fortunate to acquire "No. 24" (natural combo) reviewed at Welcome to Coticule.be - home of the famous Belgian Coticule Whetstone. I've been using a coticule for about 10 months, this is my second one.

When folks talk about these stones being unique, they are not kidding! No. 24 is more translucent, and the slurry is more "creamy" vs. my first. When used with just water, I think a little more slurry is released making the water a bit more viscous (noticeable after about 100 laps)--must be a softer stone. I get great feedback when using just water on this one (not so much on my first)-- after 100 laps the blade just glides across the top, but still "sticks" to the hone, enabling me to really go with light pressure with confidence.

I touched up 2 razors, a Dovo full hollow, and a Wacker 1/4 hollow yesterday, and just had a fantastic shave with the Wacker today. I'm able to get a crisper edge with this hone.

I bought my first coticule because the thought of a single hone was appealing... now I have two... and I wonder what another one would be like... help....
