what is the easiest way to round the edges of an escher stone, the long edges are still fairly sharp, or should i even round them at all

Thanked: 402wet/dry sand paper 400 grit and up.
Put it flat on the table and work off the hone on it.
Please don't remove more than necessary.
Do you have a picture of your gem?

Thanked: 198olivia, i have been using the sandpaper to lap it, i did that when you mentioned it to me about a month ago, my question is about the corners of the honeing surface, do i use sandpaper to round them off also. as for pics i took some, just havent downloaded them yet.

Yes, you can use sandpaper for the edges, too. Just sand them down like you'd round the corner on anything else.

hold the hone at a 45° angle and scrub it a bit off on the sandpaper.
